House concerts are exactly that - a private concert in someone's home.
A house concert typically combines a pot-luck dinner party for 25-50 people with live acoustic music. They are not a for-profit enterprise, but a labor of love of someone who really appreciates live music in an intimate environment and likes to support touring musicians. Hosts pass a hat to collect donations for the artists, with guests asked to chip in around $20 each -- all of which goes to the artist.
Mosts house concerts only host a few shows per yer (3-6), and they are invitation only events that require an RSVP to attend. To get invited, you will first have to get on their mailing list which you can do by contacting the host directly - or complete the request form on a house concert's profile page here on UndiscoveredMusic.net and we'll forward your request off to the house concert host.
