The Historic Cooper’s House of Oakland Mills is located just off US Route 29 in the heart of Columbia, Maryland. The central stone structure was built in 1790 and is listed on the Howard County Registry of Historical Houses. The house was originally the home of the “cooper” who lived there and built barrels for the Oakland Flour Mills. Concerts are held in the “Great Room” which has rough-hewn wood ceilings provides an intimate setting to hear great acoustic music.
