Happy Hen Barn

The Happy Hen Barn is the old 1911 family barn that we saved and got married in in 2005. Since the wedding, the barn has evolved into a unique art spot of sorts. We have gatherings for family and friends, and we host house concerts. We're new at this, but the concerts so far have been truly magical events (you can also find us on the "Music In Your Home" network). The barn gets "turned off" for the winter -- concerts are only late April-late October, and the late summer is risky for heat, so the best months for concerts are May-June and September-October. An audience of 75 fits easily, but 50-60 is best. The barn has a full kitchen and bathroom and a "rustic luxury" hayloft with several beds. We like all sorts of music (including jazz, classical and "world") but tend toward the dark or humorous, and away from the light and uplifting. Please email us with inquiries.
