We are a small, grass-roots, not-for-profit, all volunteer event, organized in 2012, to bring people together to enjoy live, local music and poetry. We gather once a month, on the first Saturday from 7 - 10 pm, at the Center on Main, 103 Main St., Falls Village, CT. We offer six open mic spots followed a Featured Performer. No cover, donations welcome. Coffee/Tea/Snacks available plus folks can bring their own food and beverages, alcoholic or non-alcoholic.
Carol & Nick are passionate about melody & lyric interpretation. They feature jazz standards, bossa nova, and pop tunes. Their layered sound, created with seven-string guitar, percussion, vocals, & live looping, is surprising, subtle and swinging.
An accomplished singer-songwriter, finger-style guitarist and seasoned performer, David builds wonderfully unique, quirky homemade cigar box guitars from which he delivers his own particular brand of smokehouse blues!
Bluesy, not blues, jazzy, not jazz... the same for folk, rock, etc. I just know that I try to put a little soul into everything I sing. Recent CT state troubadour nominee, and a few have my songs have been used in a couple indie films.
