The North Star Lounge is an intimate music venue and vegan bar, brought to you by the folks at Detroit Street Filling Station and The Lunch Room.
The name is inspired by s/hero, slave-liberator and activist-extraordinaire Harriet Tubman. The north star was the beacon followed by Harriet Tubman to lead enslaved people to freedom.

We are a jazzy indie-folk duo (and/or full band) out of Lansing, MI. Austin Kaufmann anchors the band on guitar, with Tamiko Rothhorn adding ukulele and cornet. The two share songwriting duties and trade off singing lead and harmonizing.
Olivia "Liv" Roumel is a singer-songwriter based out of Denver. She embraces a soulful, vocally driven sound, where vivid lyrics are brought to life by lush, neo-soul influenced harmony.
