For imagination to take form, it must have space both mental and material. Enter this space with a thought, an object, an intention, a question, and perception changes along with the physical space itself. This is the liminal place where beauty and truth dance, where the boundaries between individual minds dissolve, and something new takes shape.
This is not just a gallery, or an art education center – it’s an expansive confluence of all these things.
This is A Space in Between.
Sacramentos’s new art non-profit inhabits a stunning 12k square-foot industrial-era warehouse in downtown Mansion Flats. Artists, designers, entrepreneurs, and dreamers meet here to collaborate, share, inspire, solve problems, and have fun. Our cultural programs feature talks and events to celebrate underground and homegrown talent. We see this space as an incubator for connecting creatives with other organizations and businesses to transform excellent ideas into reality.
Within these walls, you will find an international gallery and street art exhibit space complete with its own store, a state-of-the-art virtual reality studio and classroom, open work and lecture space, digital, graphic design, photography, and video studios, and a powered outdoor courtyard. A Space in Between provides project management, art business literacy, legal support, and other services to better empower local and visiting artists. The venue also includes plans for meditation gardens and a wellness-driven food program.
No medium is off-limits, no issue too difficult to tackle. A Space In Between is a constant work-in-progress with the aim of lifting Sacramento and all its inhabitants to a new zenith.
