Michael Patrick

Inspired by the more traditional folk, country, rockabilly, roots and rock sounds & writing of such artists as : Johnny Cash, Lyle Lovett, Hank Williams, John Prine, and the like, Michael Patrick has developed an appreciation of simplistic story-telling lyrics, catchy hooks and memorable melodies.

An established NJ Based musician/performer/songwriter, Michael has shared the stage with many national acts including Randy Travis, Clint Black, Rosanne Cash, Marty Stuart, Justin Townes Earle, Chris Knight, Pokey LaFarge, Kinky Friedman, Dale Watson, Billy Joe Shaver, The Marshall Tucker Band, The Outlaws, David Allan Coe and Gary Allan to name just a few. In addition, he founded & fronts local groups "The Suburban Hillbillies" and his Johnny Cash Tribute Band: "Ring of Fire".

To date, Michael has logged over 1500 live performances in the tri-state (NY,NJ,PA) area in addition to 3 annual tours down south. His achievements also include four successful CD releases.

He has performed throughout the area and beyond at such prestigious venues as: Union County Arts Center, Strand Theater, Mayo Performing Arts Center, Paramount Theater, Bergen Pac, Stone Pony, Starland Ballroom, BB Kings, etc.

Michael Prides himself on his live energetic shows which encourage audience participation with lots of spontaneous interaction. He feels a sense of obligation to connect with patrons and help deliver a smile and pull people out of their shells.
