Born and raised in Chicago, Larry attended High School with John Prine, and has had a long career as lead guitarist for a variety of groups. Heavily influenced by Dave Van Ronk, Bob Dylan, Paul Simon, and Townes Van Zandt, Larry embarked upon a solo career as a composer and performer on the acoustic guitar in 2000.

A Berklee College of Music Alumni, Larry released two instrumental albums: Cobb Lane in 2000, followed by his second CD, Music for the High Country - The Soundtrack of Blowing Rock. The music is a blend of original compositions, as well as traditional classics, arranged in Larry’s unique style, encompassing both his solo acoustic guitar, and his outstanding chamber ensemble, known as the Acoustic Earth Orchestra. Music for the High Country has been endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce of Blowing Rock, NC as their official soundtrack. Most recently Larry has included vocals as a singer/songwriter in a folk/Americana style that has expanded his audience. His recent recording is Covered Bridges and features the latest incarnation of the Acoustic Earth Orchestra.

Larry is from Brattleboro, Vermont, and performs throughout New England, and has taught the guitar in Virginia, Alabama, Chicago, and New England for the past 35 years. He released the instructional video, "Playing the Guitar in Open D Tuning" through Decent Hill Publishing in 2010. He is also the author of "Political Logic," published by Decent Hill, and "Growing up White in Racist America," published by Amazon.com.

Recently, Larry has moved to Henderson Nevada, and is building a recording studio for mixing and mastering his projects.
