The Red River Songwriters' (RRS) Festival was founded in 2012 in Red River, New Mexico, by six songwriter friends. RRS is still going strong after 12 years (we've gone twice) and five of those founders get together a couple of times each year to do a run of shows, billed - unsurprisingly - as the Red River Songwriters. Four of them - Walt Wilkins, Kelley Mickwee, Drew Kennedy and Susan Gibson - are MCC alums, having played a total of eight house concerts here since 2016. The fifth - Josh Grider - completes our sweep when he visits MCC for the first time on March 1, sharing the stage for a duo show with his music & life partner, Kristi Grider. Josh and Kristi have a total of about 15 albums out in the world - solo, with each other, and with other projects. Kristi also sings harmonies for several Texas acts and has been featured on several albums produced by none other than Walt Wilkins Josh & Kristi will be - without a doubt - the most "country" of any concert we've ever hosted.
