HFMS presents Helene Cronin!

Texas-bred singer/songwriter Helene Cronin describes herself as a “story-singer.” Hers is a musical mission born from experience, as well as a desire to bring to life stories and ideas that resonate with genuine emotion and, in their wake, impart lessons that her listeners can absorb within their own life experiences. It’s a direction and determination she’s pursued over the course of her career, and for that matter, most of her own life as well. It’s flourished and been nourished ever since she borrowed her brother’s guitar and taught herself how to play. For the past 19 years, she’s been an impactful presence in Nashville songwriting circles, composing music for both her own projects and for the commercial country market. She hosts writers-in-the-round sessions at Nashville's famed Bluebird Cafe and performs in a variety of settings, from coffeehouses and small venues to festivals. She often performs in her nearby Texas environs, opening for Kathy Mattea, Chris Hillman and Willis Alan Ramsey, among others. ~https://www.helenecronin.com Singer-Songwriter Jay Williams will open! Embark on a musical journey with Jay Williams, whose life's adventures, including a year on a sailboat exploring the Gulf Coast and Bahamas, deeply shape his storytelling sound. Jay weaves folk, jazz, pop, country, and rock into a rich tapestry, finger-picking his nylon-string guitar. His lyrics narrate foot-tapping humor, dreamy ballads, and historical tales. Listening to Jay's songs is like conversing with a master storyteller, inviting you into a gumbo of melodies and captivating narratives. Join Jay Williams on a voyage where nature's beauty and storytelling prowess converge, crafting an extraordinary musical experience. ~https://jaymusic.org/home
