Songwriter Sessions Alice Hasen and John David Short

Alice Hasen Alice Hasen is a Memphis-based violinist, recording artist and songwriter. Alice is known for her unique style which combines the virtuosity of her classical upbringing with soaring improvisation. She has been called “one in a million” by Alan Rowoth, founder of folkmusic.org. In 2019, Alice released her debut album, Violintro. Alice also serves on the Board of Directors of Southeast Regional Folk Alliance (SERFA). Alice’s latest project, a duo EP with Josh Threlkeld entitled “Aisling Farm Sessions,” won a track feature on Spotify’s New Grass editorial playlist upon its release in August 2023. J.D. Short John David Short hails from Texas, and writes music in Pop, Classical, Rock, and Jazz idioms. He is a composer, songwriter, bassist, pianist, and orchestrator. He's also the administrator for alternative media outlet, Philtrum Publishing Federation, where the real news is under your nose! He is a believer in music that motivates people to be the best version of themselves
