Richard Beattie is the host of a new radio show called “Folk Processed” on Denver’s KLVZ 95.3 FM. Beattie has been writing and performing his songs for over 50 years. He started off his career as a child actor on Broadway and Jones Beach Amphitheater in New York. He moved to Denver in 1978, where he quickly became a regular at The Denver Folklore Center Concert Hall and Swallow Hill. In 1979, he became the second concert hall manager. Beattie was an opening act for several Feyline shows at The Turn of the Century and has appeared at The Kerrville Folk Festival. He has scored and produced soundtracks for PBS and Jack Hannah television shows, and for documentaries. Since 2000, Beattie has created award winning radio programs and advertising for local and national accounts. He currently is the President and Founder of Sound Century a non profit that digitizes audio from live concerts for future publication and availability. He is an accomplished singer/songwriter who will be offering some of those songs at the Harry And concert on Fri. Sept. 22nd.
