The combination of classic harp and soul is simply intriguing! Since the 2018 release of “Higher Grounds,” their first album, Kuf Knotz (Producer/MC) and Christine Elise (Harpist/Vocalist) have brought their unique blend of hip-hop, soul and classical traditions to various communities. Releasing their highly anticipated second album “Ké m yōōnədé” (2021), Kuf and Christine’s music explores themes of unity, spirituality and the infinite possibility of creating a better world. They fuse hip-hop poetry with bluesy beats supported by the harp. And, you can dance to it. Cultivating the juxtaposition of mindful reflection and feeling free to effortlessly move to the rhythms, their performance is an era fusing, genre bending journey intended to leave the listener feeling invigorated. Kuf and Christine have been featured on NPR Music and WHYY, and I've heard them on WXPN. The duo was recognized as Philadelphia Magazine's 2022 Best of Philly, AND Christine has Jersey shore roots! When we were getting acquainted, Christine said she was drawn to the Cozy Cabin because it looks so peaceful. This performance will be a homecoming of sorts; they'll be returning from an eight-city tour of Alaska for their brand new third album, Hypnagogia. I have a strong feeling this will be one of those Cozy Cabin moments where you'll say "I was there!"
