House concerts are exactly that - a private concert in someone's home.
A house concert typically combines a pot-luck dinner party for 25-50 people with live acoustic music. Hosts pass a hat to collect money for the artists, with guests asked to chip in around $20 each -- all of which goes to the artist.
Mosts house concerts only host a few shows per yer (3-6), and they are invitation only events that require an RSVP to attend. To get invited, you will first have to get on their mailing list which you can do by contacting the host directly. Where available, we have provided you with the email address of the host so you can ask to be invited to their shows.
House concerts are an amazing way to see an up-close and personal performance from some of the most talented musicians in the country. If you have never experienced a house concert before, you should definitely check one out in your area.
