The Old Sloop will present Christmas with Cassie and Maggie Friday, December 16 as part of the Old Sloop Presents performing arts series. The performance will be in the handicap-accessible Fellowship Hall of the First Congregational Church of Rockport, 12 School St. at 7:30pm. Internationally acclaimed, award winning Nova Scotian musical sister duo Cassie and Maggie are no strangers to holiday magic. In their multi-generational musical family, Christmas was always a time to gather near and sing boisterously. The doors were always open to company and the New Year was just around the corner. The trademarks of their stage show will be there as sure as reindeer fly: fiddle, guitar, piano, sibling harmonies and percussive stepdance, as well as classic Christmas hymns, ancient carols and a sassy ode to the most mysterious of Santa’s reindeer, Vixen.
