A winner of the Kerrville New Folk songwriter contest, C. Daniel Boling was a gun toting Park Ranger and Criminal Investigator in National Parks and Public Lands across the west for three decades ... and switched to music touring at 50.
Daniel is a balladeer/songwriter playing modern original folk and has eight albums to his credit. Since 2008 he tours full-time throughout the U.S. and in Europe and New Zealand sharing original story songs and a deft fingerpicking style. His clear tenor draws positive comparisons to John Denver and Pete Seeger, and there’s a lot of Steve Goodman in his delivery and storytelling. Other songwriting awards include Walnut Valley Festival, Santa Fe Bluegrass and Old Time Festival, Albuquerque Folk Festival, and Woody Guthrie Folk Festival.
"Daniel's songs are filled with sweet imagery and infallible word craft, and his live performances bring another dimension of energy and charm."
– legendary songwriter Steve Gillette
