Krobath House Concert Series Presents Bradley Rhodes

If you’ve been missing live music as much as we have, you won’t want to miss this! Please join us Saturday, Feb 10, 2024, as we welcome Brad Rhodes back for a solo show!! Brad previously performed at our place a year ago as a member of Elevado with Brent Shuttleworth. Our shows are open invite, so please feel free to bring a friend or two – just let us know how many are coming so we can plan. As always, we will provide some food and non-alcoholic drinks, but please feel free to BYOB and, if you choose, an appetizer or dessert to share. An Introduction to Bradley Rhodes: Brad Rhodes is a Northern Virginia native who began singing since the day he was able to speak. He found his calling at the young age of 11 years old when he mimicked some of his favorite rock heroes of the time. Six years later Melodime was formed with two of his best friends, the Duis brothers. He describes Melodime as a life-changing opportunity to reach others and make a positive impact through music. “It goes beyond chord progressions and lyrics that draws me to this art. It is the limitless possibilities and mystery of how music inspires others and us when we take the stage to perform as a band, enter the studio to record, or pick up a pen to write,” says Rhodes. Tracy and I were at the farewell show for Melodime in March of 2022 (postponed for 2 years due to the pandemic). This show was absolutely worth the wait and was easily one of our favorite concerts of all time and Brad crushed it on vocals. The powerful vocals, the energy and the emotion felt by the audience was in turn conveyed right back to the band with audience singing along with every song knowing it would be the last time they would get to experience the band live that has been producing the music they have been connecting with for the last 16 years. Brad’s next project was to form Elevado, a singer-songwriter duo composed of duel baritones, Brad Rhodes (vocals, piano, and guitar) and Brent Shuttleworth (vocals, guitar). Both were independent, national touring artists that combined forces in Northern Virginia at the head of the 2020 quarantine. Through a process of woodshedding, they found their purpose and sound by embracing the deeper truths surrounding the unparalleled state of the world. Brad will be playing a mix of songs from both Melodime and Elevado as he returns to back to the (self-proclaimed) prestigious Krobath Concert Living room.
