Probably Whiskey is an Appalachian and Celtic roots band founded in 2018. Kirstyn and Phil have taken great pride in sharing the roots traditions they have grown up with and continue to learn and study. Not only do they have a great respect for the past but they have also have begun to move roots music forward. By substituting the saxophone for the fiddle they have given traditional tunes a fresh new sound that is both enjoyable as well as audibly fascinating. This past year Probably Whiskey was able to preform for the second year in a row at the 25th annual Common Ground on the Hill Roots Music and Arts Festival. In July they also celebrated the release of Philip’s debut solo album “Spiess” which the band also performs songs from. It is available on cdbaby.com, ITunes, Apple Music, and Amazon music. Tinderbox Music has said of Philips writing:
“The music rides a really nice line between Americana and Honkey Tonk country that draws the listener to focus on the story telling happening with his lyrics.”
